Middlesbrough's bid for UEFA Cup final glory ended in misery as Sevilla struck three late goals to claim a 4-0 success in Eindhoven. And for Steve McClaren, in his final match in charge of the club, his comeback kings were well and truly toppled by the crack Spaniards.
Middlesbrough produced two barely believable comebacks from three goals down to reach the final in Eindhoven.
But their super-human powers of recovery were nowhere to be seen in the PSV Stadion as the Spaniards dominated from start to finish.

Trabzonspor's Bosnia-Herzegovnian coach Vahid Halilhodžić has announced he will leave the Turkish club at the end of the season for personal reasons.
Successful leadership
The 53-year-old took over from former Turkey boss Şenol Güneş last October and helped lift Trabzonspor from mid-table to third place in the Superleague - but has decided not to extend his contract.
Final fixture
Halilhodžić will take charge for the last time in Sunday's season-closing fixture against fourth-placed Beşiktaş JK. The result of that match, to be played in Izmir as Trabzonspor have been banned from playing the game at their Hüseyin Avni Aker stadium, will decide which of the two sides qualifies for the UEFA Cup.

NK Orašje have won the Bosnia-Herzegovnian Cup after defeating league champions NK Široki Brijeg 3-0 at home following a 0-0 away draw in the first leg two weeks ago.
Second-half storm
The home side dominated throughout in Orasje to put the seal on the club's ten-year anniversary, although all the goals came in the second half. Captain Ivo Pejic struck on 54 minutes before Slavko Kobas made sure of victory 12 minutes from time. Then, in stoppage time, Pejic's second goal iced the cake. "This is a great success for our team," said coach Davor Mladina. "We have beaten a great opponent in our new national champions."
