Euroleague Basketball Assembly Approves Pursuing Expansion PDF Print E-mail

ImageThe Euroleague Basketball Assembly, meeting on Friday in Barcelona, has approved the pursuit of expansion plans, targeted for the 2007-08 season in both the Euroleague and the ULEB Cup. "The best way of doing this is through close cooperation with FIBA Europe," Euroleague Basketball CEO Jordi Bertomeu said.

According to the ABA president Radovan Lorbek there is a big chance that the Goodyear League’s champion may also get a place in the Euroleague already for 2007/08 season. In the next one Cibona, Union Olimpija and Partizan will participate in the Euroleague.
