ImageCho Jae-jin scored in injury time to seal South Korea's confidence-boosting 2-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina in a World Cup warmup match Friday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers' Seol Ki-hyun headed home the opening goal in the 50th minute after Bosnia goalkeeper Romeo Mitrovic slid to block Ahn Jung-hwan's close-range shot at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Substitute Park Chu-young of FC Seoul chested a cross from Park Ji-sung near the edge of the penalty area to set up Cho's blistering shot.

Cho thought he had scored in the 82nd, but the young striker was ruled offside.

South Korea, a 2002 World Cup semifinalist, now has two friendly matches remaining in Europe before opens its World Cup campaign on June 13 against Togo in Group G, which also includes 1998 champion France and Switzerland. South Korea is contesting its sixth successive World Cup.

South Korea coach Dick Advocaat took encouragement from the result after his team could only manage a 1-1 draw with Senegal on Tuesday.

"We didn't give them (Bosnia) the chances," he said. "I think that was much better than Tuesday, so we just have to improve and improve." South Korea now has eight wins and three losses in 15 games since the Dutch-born coach took charge on Sept. 30.

Bosnia played without Messina striker Zlatan Muslimovic, while stalwarts Hasan Salihamidzic of Bayern Munich, Vladan Grujic and Hearts midfielder Mirsad Beslija were ruled out with injuries.

CSKA Sofia forward Sergej Jakirovic was not included in coach Blaz Sliskovics squad due to wedding plans.

Bosnia managed two draws with Spain in World Cup qualifying but has never reached the finals.

South Korea came out blazing as the first half turned into the Lee Chun-soo show and Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung, back after two weeks of injury, failedto impress before later coming into his own.

South Korea flies to Edinburgh on Saturday ahead of friendly matches against Norway on June 1 and Ghana on June 4.
